Why bulk is the hard part
Verifying one license is easy. Re-verifying a bench of four thousand every month is where most approaches break. Scraping board lookup pages sequentially gets you rate-limited or blocked, and rightly so. Manual checks do not scale past a few dozen.
We mirror the boards' own published roster files - 22,405,527 records across 31 states and 149 professions - so a batch of 25,000 is a single job against our index rather than 25,000 requests against a government website.
Built for the professions you actually place
Nursing is usually the easy one - Nursys covers it well, and we say so plainly. The problem is everyone else on the same bench: allied health, behavioral health, pharmacy, and the licensed trades, each with its own state board and its own file format.

One thing to be clear about
Verifying that a credential is in good standing for credentialing, network participation or compliance monitoring is a permitted use. Using the same lookup to decide whether to hire, fire or promote someone is regulated by the FCRA and is not permitted here - for that you need a consumer reporting agency. The terms set out the line, and it is worth reading before you integrate.
