License Verify API (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our license verification API.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and payment information for billing purposes.
We log every license verification request your API key makes, including the profession, state, license number, response status, and latency. Logs are used for billing reconciliation, abuse detection, and your own usage history. We cache canonical verification results returned by upstream state boards so we can serve repeat lookups without re-querying the source.
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, including pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS, with no plaintext HTTP endpoint. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and API keys as SHA-256 hashes, so neither can be read back out of our systems. Database volumes are not currently encrypted at rest - if full-disk encryption is a requirement for your organization, please contact us before sending data rather than assuming it is in place.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
We may use third-party services for payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
