I build License Verify API, a REST API that checks US professional licenses against the rosters state boards publish. I have been a software engineer for more than 21 years. Much of that time went into healthcare platforms, where provider credentials and compliance data are part of the daily work.

License Verify started from a practical problem. Checking a license meant opening a different state website for every board. Each one had its own search form and its own way of writing a license number. I wanted one query that answers the same way for every state, with the source and the date of the data attached to every answer.

I write the research on this site myself. When the data surprises me, I publish what I found and how I measured it, so you can check the numbers.
